About Rugby & Northampton Athletic Club
We are an inclusive, supportive club with a membership of over 800, but still keeping a friendly family feel. Our members range in age from 8 to well over 80 - and still competing! With over 80 experienced coaches and officials, we can help you achieve your personal goals, whether that be to improve your Parkrun time, or to compete in Tokyo 2021. We have GB internationals and current world record holders - but we also welcome complete beginners. Everybody starts somewhere!
The club has two main training venues: the track at Moulton College, Pitsford Road, and the athletic track adjacent to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Sports Centre, Bruce Williams Way, Rugby. Members are welcome to use both facilities.
Our juniors compete in Sportshall athletics and the West Midlands Cross Country League in the winter. For track and field we offer U12 league, Heart of England division one and Upper and Lower Age Group Youth Development Leagues - premier for both. There is something here to suit the absolute beginner and to stretch the very best.
Seniors can compete in Three Counties, Birmingham, and Midland Women's Cross Country Leagues. Track and Field opportunities are provided in the Midland League and the Midland Vets Track and Field League.
We currently have a very strong road running set-up. Our senior and vet men are reigning East Midlands Grand Prix champions, taking over from the ladies' achievement last year.
