Activity Information
A chance for you and your baby to move, relax and breath together. These friendly classes are also a great way to meet up with other mothers with babies from nearby. It’s all about gentle postnatal recovery – stretching tired muscles, toning your pelvic floor and a time to enjoy some (relative!) calm in the company of other new mums and babies. We always have a period of relaxation and we sing nursery rhymes and get the babies’ bodies moving too!
You can join these classes once you have had your postnatal check with the GP (usually at 6-8 weeks) and been given the go ahead to exercise again The classes are suitable for non-mobile babies, although a baby that starts crawling during a block is fine. Babies get moving in different ways and at different ages, feel free to contact me to discuss before booking if needed.
Please bring your own yoga mat. If this is a major obstacle to you attending, please contact me and you can hire a mat for a small refundable deposit.
You can bring your own toys etc for your baby, or purchase a 'baby yoga bag' for £5 when booking: this includes items such as a chiffon scarf, rattle, silver sheet, some bubbles and a couple of little treats for mum.
Classes can be booked on a pay as you go basis, however there is a discount if you book any 3 sessions at one time and a greater discount if you book any 6 sessions at one time.
If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 you should not attend the session in person, and contact me to make alternative arrangements.
