About Assistant Manager (Performance & Partnerships)

As Assistant Manager (Performance & Partnerships) you will work with the Sports Development Manager to ensure the achievement of competitive sport outcomes and have the following key responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with the Students' Union and identified key stakeholders to deliver the University Competitive Sport Strategy.
  • Manage the Platinum Sports Scholarship programme(s), ensuring effective promotion, student recruitment, and overall administration in-line with agreed annual targets.
  • Identifying and creating supply chain relationships to aid talented student recruitment including working with NGB's, educational institutions and working towards obtaining performance centre's accreditations.
  • Responsible for external relationship management with external sporting partners including the Leeds Rhinos Foundation.

Essential criteria and qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent educational/training/work-based experience which has involved critical thinking and analysis, research and problem solving.
  • Experience of effective line and shift management of specialist staff including effective delegation, induction and training of staff.
  • Experience of working in partnership with strategic partners
  • Experience of working with student athletes, coaches, and other support services.

The post is permanent, and hours will be variable depending on operational requirements but may include early mornings, evenings and occasional weekend hours.
