About Active Travel Officer in Schools (CDC)

Doncaster Council's Transportation team are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for Active Travel to join their team.

Encouraging and embedding active travel within Schools and educational setting within Doncaster has never been more important.

The post holder will;

  • Support the development and delivery of active travel in schools to improve health through walking, wheeling and cycling.
  • Support a partnership approach to increasing the uptake of walking, wheeling and cycling.
  • To support school champions and harness local authority resource to make links between schools and the wider walking, wheeling and cycling community.
  • Develop a programme of work that will leave a legacy of walking, wheeling and cycling in schools and educational settings across Doncaster.
  • Support other areas across the Transportation team when required.
