Extreme Sports Assistant (Clip & Climb)

We're looking for Extreme Sports Assistants to run the Clip 'N Climb at York Leisure Centre, which is situated within the York Stadium Leisure Complex in York, North Yorkshire. This brand new leisure centre offers 22 state-of-the-art Clip 'n Climb climbing walls, and positions would start in January 2020, all training will be provided. Shifts will include weekends and evenings.

You'll also assist with the climbing operations of Clip 'n Climb which could include anything from safety briefings and equipment inspections to responding to customer queries and running climbing sessions. You'll be able to relate to our customers and your energy and enthusiasm will ensure they have the most enjoyable time possible as well as staying safe. You'll be working with a team of like-minded people and encouraged to develop your ideas to help more people become active in non-traditional sports.

You'll be motivated and ambitious - always looking for the next challenge. You'll ideally have some customer-facing experience, but being an excellent communicator and driven in your work will also stand you in good stead. With an interest in sport and physical activity, previous climbing experience is not necessary as you'll be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to work under pressure. You will need to have good IT skills and be able to adhere to stringent health and safety requirements.
