Many opportunities for Mums to get active!

We are two months into 2024 and it has definitely been an amazing year of Mum meet ups for Moving Mums!
Back in my maternity leave last summer, I qualified in Level 3 Pre & Postnatal Fitness and I have never looked back. After having my baby almost a year ago now, it is one of the best decisions I made to become fully qualified to help pre & postnatal Mums. After a lot of hard work and planning, the choice to make Moving Mums was made in around November time in 2023.
We launched our first classes in January, where you can bring your baby or little one to the village hall on a Thursday morning without the pressure of needing to find childcare, or worrying that your baby might cry. Do they sometimes cry during the session? Yes! Is it a it chaotic at times? Yes! But are you moving your body and feeling good? Yes too!
January also saw the 'birth' (mind the pun) of our FREE walks, which I host every first Friday of the month at 1pm in Blaby. We have had three walks so far this year, all of which have had a fabulous turn out. It's a great way to meet other Mums and discuss the highs (and lows!) of motherhood, whilst getting active with our little ones.
Running has been something that I've always been passionate about & I really missed when I stopped around half way through pregnancy (it didn't feel right after this point for my body for me unfortunately). I now go for jogs with my pushchair but was finding at the beginning of this year a little lonely on my runs and thought there MUST be some other Mums out there who would fancy a little jog! On came the Moving Mums run club, which is free to join. Of course running needs to be approached very carefully post birth, so we make sure everybody is absolutely ready to have a go and take it nice and slowly.
During the past three months, I've met so many AMAZING and INSPIRING mothers who are doing their best to keep active with their little ones. I'm so excited to see where this year will take us and to meet lots more Mums along the way!
If you are interested in attending a walk, run or class please feel free to contact me. I'm always happy to help and to help the local Mums get moving!
