Yvette from Blaby
Yvette's job means that she sits down for most of the day, and so she decided to start exercising in her spare time. She started new hobbies, and joined yoga and Zumba classes, which she enjoys multiple times throughout the week.
Sometimes when she thinks that she can't find the energy to attend, she remembers the positive feeling she has after finishing a session, which motivates her to keep going. Since being active, Yvette has lost weight and has made many new friends from the activity sessions and recommends to those thinking about joining a group to just do it and have fun!
Yvette had a knee replacement surgery in 2015, which left her with a knee she struggles to bend, but the regular yoga and Zumba sessions have helped her become more flexible, which means she's now able to enjoy regular walks to the park with her grandchildren.
