Thursday 30 June saw AFC Barwell Inclusive Football team hold it's annual awards evening. Over 30 players and supporter came to Dovecote Way, home of AFC Barwell to celebrate a very successful season.

Highlights included AFC Barwell entering teams in the 10 inclusive tournaments held across Leicestershire during the season and most importantly welcomed many new members across all age groups, making AFC Barwell Inclusive one of the fastest growing inclusive football clubs in Leicestershire. The club entered the Leicestershire and Rutland County FA Inclusive Cup Competition. The competition involved pan disability teams from across Leicestershire with special guests Northampton Town. The Youth and Junior teams played superbly and were unlucky not to make the finals. AFC Barwell adult team fought off stiff competition from six teams to make the final and win the Championship trophy. The three Barwell teams were invited to take part in a further Inclusive competition at The National Football Centre, St Georges Park, Burton on Trent, where again all the teams played superbly and the adult team again made it to the final and were unlucky to loose a tight final one nil.
