Why... Sign up to the Workplace Challenge?

With the Active Lunch Challenge into the final two weeks, activities are being logged quicker than ever before. Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport have seen a huge 263 people sign up in the first six weeks of 2017 as the Workplace Challenge word continues to spread.

But there is still time for those who haven't got involved to get logging points. Although the Active Lunch Challenge finishes at the end of February, the Workplace Challenge continues to grow in popularity with more than 7,800 people taking part in the last six weeks alone. And the miles they've logged could take you all the way to the moon - and back!

The Workplace Challenge not only allows you to log your activities and see the benefit that taking part in sport and physical activity has, it also provides the chance to take on new events. Throughout the year, LRS help to run Workplace Challenge competitions that allow workplaces to team up and battle it out for sporting glory. Whether that be through mass events such as last year's Business Games or more niche' activities such as Quidditch, WPC can benefit not only you as an individual but your company too.

If you are already a part of Workplace Challenge make sure you're logging your points because as with all good things, they can equal prizes. Spot prizes are frequently awarded for taking part, while major companies such as FitBit and DW Sports have also generously awarded prizes such as free technology and gym passes. In Leicestershire, Leicester & Rutland, 4,300 people are already signed up with many of those logging on a regular basis. Whether your choice of activity is a run or something a bit more outlandish does not matter, as the WPC recognises everything and scores it on a set basis.
