Leicestershire County FA is currently inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from grassroots football clubs and organisations looking to develop their facilities between now and 2020.
The FA, via its investment into The Football Foundation is looking to support projects that will make a difference to a football club and the community it serves. As ever, the demand is expected to be exceptionally high and will exceed the financial resource available. However, Leicestershire County FA, The FA and The Football Foundation will continue to offer advice and support in relation to facility projects where it is considered to be of benefit to football and in addition, will try to identify any other relevant funding sources or seek to work with you to reduce overall project costs.
The first stage in this process is to complete and submit the FA's Football Facilities Enquiry Form (found via the link provided above).
The closing date for this expressions of interest is Monday 24 April 2017. All EOI's will be scored upon the window closing on Monday 24 April 2017. Scoring comprises of a number of elements including FA Charter Standard, number of existing teams based on site, financial sustainability and proposed project requirements.
All projects will be contacted in May 2017 with The FA's and County FA's comments. Guidance and advice will be provided where appropriate. The higher scoring projects will be invited in for an informal presentation to be held on Tuesday 9 May 2017. Priority projects will then be identified and will be asked to work up their applications with the full backing and support from all parties.
