Grassroots sport in Fleckney has benefited from a cash injection following the news that Fleckney Sports Centre has been awarded grants of £33,000 from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund and Section 106 funding via Harborough District Council. Fleckney Parish Council has provided a further financial contribution to ensure the project was a viable option.
The funding will enable all weather pitch participants (around 400 people a week) at Fleckney Sports Centre to play their football on a safe & high quality surface benefitting Fleckney Athletic Football Club and a host of casual user groups including 150 adults and 250 young people.
