Bosworth Academy blazed in a hot scoring streak to claim the Year 7 Futsal Team Leicestershire Trophy!

The first of the Team Leicestershire Futsal finals were played by the Year 7 girls at Crown Hills Community College yesterday with 9 teams involved. Each game lasted 8 minutes with the final lasting 10 minutes. The evening involved the teams split into two group stages including:

For most of the games, there were goals galore with plenty of action to witness! The results reflect each teams position in the group table. Wigston Academy and Bosworth Academy were rightful winners of each group as their solid defence meant there were no goals scored against them.

The two top teams from each group played each other in finals in the corresponding format:

1^st and 2^nd place finals:

1^st place Group A (Wigston Academy) vs. 1^st place Group B (Bosworth Academy)

3^rd place finals:

2^nd place and 2^nd place Group A (Newbridge) vs. 2^nd place Group B (Countesthorpe Leysland)

It was Bosworth Academy who came out on top in a thrilling encounter against close rivals Newbridge while Countesthorpe Leysland took the game to Newbridge as they claimed bronze.

1st Place ~ Bosworth Academy

2nd Place ~ Wigston Academy

3rd Place ~ Countesthorpe Leysland
