On the 11th and 18th March the KS4 School Games Volleyball Super-Series Final took place at Rushey Mead Academy. Both nights were action-filled with some great blocks and passes from both teams over the course of the two evenings. 15 teams attended in total over both finals, however it was Welland Park Academy that stormed their matches to secure the first win for Blaby & Harborough, with Melton & Belvoir (Priory Belvoir Academy) in 2nd and West Leicester (Fullhurst CC) in 3rd.
In KS4 Girls final Priory Belvoir lifted the trophy for Melton & Belvoir, North Charnwood (Castle Donington) came 2nd and West Leicester (Fullhurst CC) in 3rd position.
The Spirit of the Games winners (KS4 Girls) 'North West Leicester' and (KS4 Boys) 'Melton & Belvoir' demonstrated each of the core values of the School Games and more.. by showing great sportsmanship and compassion towards their opponents.

The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games, now in its sixth year, is part of the national 'School Games Programme'. It aims to keep competitive sport at the heart of schools and provide more young people with the opportunity to compete and achieve their personal best. It is open to all young people aged 6-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
