North West Leicestershire District Council are keen to consult with young people on the future of the Hermitage Leisure Centre Site.
Once the new Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre (pictured) is opened the Hermitage Leisure Centre will close and the district council need to decide what happens to the site. The council therefore want to focus on improving leisure and recreation facilities on the site and to do this carried out a consultation evening last year and ran an online survey asking for ideas and preferences. We know 65% of those who gave their thoughts were 50 plus years old, with 35% aged from 16 – 49 years old.
To secure a balanced view of the community the council are actively seeking the opinions of young people aged between 11 - 21 years old. The consultation is now open and will run until 31st October 2020.
