Rackets at the ready!

Rackets at the ready! Squash courts are back in action after the Government gave the greenlight to reopen indoor leisure facilities.

So, what can we play?
Below is a snapshot of permitted activity depending on where your club/venue is based:

  • Tier 2: Solo practice, full match play with same household, Sides and Socially Distanced Practices in squash bubbles, one-to-one coaching. Rutland
  • Tier 3: Solo practice, full match play with same household. Leicester & Leicestershire

In addition to the above, juniors are allowed to take part in coach-led/supervised activity in all tiers.

Please note, guidance around one-to-one coaching in Tier 3 will be published tomorrow and circulated to all coaches.

For the full breakdown on permitted activity, visit the Back to Squash hub.

Your club/venue's reopening
Clubs and venues have been working hard to interpret both the Government and our new return to play guidelines to assess what activity they can safely deliver in their respective tiers based on their own circumstances. Get in touch with your club/venue directly to find out when they will reopen, what type of activity they are allowing and if they have any new rules in place.
