Listen Up, Speak Up - inspiring everyone to play their part in preventing abuse

The NSPCC has launched its new campaign, Listen Up, Speak Up, to raise public awareness of what we can all do to help the half a million children in the UK who suffer abuse or neglect each year.

As part of the campaign, the NSPCC is offering free, 10-minute digital training to adults across the UK and Channel Islands, which will raise public awareness of some potential indicators of child abuse or neglect, and where to go if you, or someone you know, needs some support.

There will also be training sessions run in person in Brighton, Newport and Leeds. The training will be followed up by a series of emails from our child protection experts offering advice, tips and actions everyone can take to help keep children safe.

By giving everyone a bit of extra knowledge, we can ensure there are people in every community who know what to do to help keep children safe. From spectators at your events, to members of the public welcomed into your clubhouse; we can help adults understand how to reach out if they need support – meaning we can stop abuse before it starts.
