A free children's wheelchair mobility-training workshop is running in Leicestershire on Sunday 22nd September 10am-2pm. Further details on location and booking are below:
The workshop will including teaching of skills such as:
- coping with slopes and rough ground,
- back wheel balancing,
- road safety and emergency evacuation techniques.
There will also be games to play like wheelchair basketball and a chance to try out wheelchair dance.
Extra chairs will be provided so mums, dads and siblings can get involved and join in the games. Whilst the objectives are serious the workshops are good fun!
Go Kids Go run free manual & powered wheelchair workshops and also run practical wheelchair skills workshops for professionals and disability awareness workshops in mainstream schools. Go Kids Go work in partnership with a number of wheelchair services to deliver training.

- The workshop is open to all young wheelchair users throughout the region.
