Championing Women's Health: Active Partnerships Menopause Commitment

Research shows that menopause can have a negative impact on women's participation in physical activity, and the symptoms are a significant barrier, leading to low confidence and motivation.

Nationally, Active Partnerships have been working together to develop a collective pledge which commits to taking positive action in our local areas, to raise awareness about menopause, the support available, and the benefits of being active.

Here is what we pledge:

  1. We will continue to raise awareness about the signs and symptoms of menopause, the benefits of being active, and local opportunities to receive support.
  2. We will share existing resources and knowledge with colleagues - menopause is everyone's responsibility. We will normalise conversations about menopause within our own networks and between our partners.
  3. We will empower our residents to share their own menopause story to inspire others and develop a wide network of menopause champions and ambassadors across LLR.
