The Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games is part of the national 'School Games Programme'. It aims to keep participation in sport and physical activity at the heart of school life and provide more young people with the opportunity to participate, compete and achieve their personal best.
It is open to all young people aged 6-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds from every school across Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland - therefore make sure your School gets involved!
Delivered locally by us here at Active Together and the School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPANs), the Leicester-Shire & Rutland School Games provides schools with the opportunity to enhance their existing work in school sport and create a year-round calendar of competition for all students.
In this section you'll find information on how to get involved by contacting your School Sport & Physical Activity Network, and also about the events that take place at a County level.

Hero or Heroine – David Beckham was my role model when growing up, I admired his resilience to setbacks and always thought he conducted himself respectfully. As I've got older, I also appreciate what he's done to develop football/sport in general across the world.
